Eti Osa Local Government aspirant in the 2025 local government election in Lagos state , Hon Wasiu Akinshemoyin have promised the leaders and the people of his local government of his readiness in delivery of quality governance if elected as Candidate for the party in Eti Osa Local Government.
Hon Wasiu Akinshemoyin popularly called WAAB was speaking at the Monthly general meeting of the campaign organization at Ajiran Community play ground in Eti Osa Local Government on Thursday to over thousands of his supporters in re awaken them to the task ahead and also the need to stay focus . He also highlights on the need to make a proper decision in the democratic corridor which he alluded that the APC is a democratic party that gives a level play ground for everyone to contest like the national convention that birthed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other state governors in the party so he believes the party will not deray from the norms even when people insinuates.
Also , Hon Wasiu harped on the drive behind his decision to vy for the position of a Executive Chairman In Eti Osa Local Government, according to him ” I believe there is a limit in what one can do when he is outside government , no matter the money or power, for instance , the road that lead to my community Ajuran is flooded and we can not do it due to financial constrain but if am in government it will be my priority and other critical projects too” , he also highlighted some of his project he has embarked since he showed interest to serve , like giving out School books , uniforms , and other educational materials also empowering widows and elders .
Hon WAAB further claimed he is not an outsider as his roots cut across all the five wards which makes him ” Bibire “, who is physical fit , financially ready , with his Educational background Msc Political science to steer the affair of the council .
Meanwhile stakeholders have applauded the aspirant for a good start in his interest to his people, chief Jamiu Adio (Kakawa ,Lagos ) believes hon WAAB will meet the yearnings of the people, because he has being on the row of giving back to the community and local government for years and we will canvas massively, Adio said .
Hence , A former member in Ekiti House of Assembly Adeola Damilare who is jolting for Federal house Representatives lend his voice in extolling the aspirant as a man with every quality of a good leader and can take the local government to its El dorado . He urged the Leaders of the party in Lagos and Eti Osa to give Hon Wasiu Akinshemoyin the opportunity to show his generosity to his people when elected .
Eti Osa Local Government area which is made of 5 wards were empowered with over 100 bags of rices while 300 people received #20,000 token as advancement fund to meet their needs .
The program which was well attended ,have 3 councilors from the council , Supervising councillors, Hon Jida Sayid , Deputy Director General and vice chairman Arewa community APC Lagos Central , party leaders , Chief Abiodun Olanrewaju , women leaders and massive supporters from all the wards .
