The president general of Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos state, Chief Solomon Agunu-Ogbonna have described the Lagos state governor Mr Babajide Sanwo olu as a crisis Manager and peacemaker after the 5 days protest in Lagos .
Chief Ogbonna speaking to journalists at his office in ikoyi, Lagos on Monday on the nation wide protest and #igboMustGo protest by lagospida social media, described the quick response of the governor on the issue as a timely response, according to him ” Mr Babajide Sanwo olu was able to condemned the hashtag immediately and also restate that Lagos is a home for everyone irrespective of your ethnic and background, that is a man who knows how vital peace is in a government” , also Chief Ogbonna commends the Lagos protesters for a peaceful and non violence protest , he said it is a sign that the brotherhood still exist and together we will always take the state to a better place”.
Furthermore, chief Ogbonna regrets the violence at some of northern states in the country and also applauds security agents on positive managing of the protesters which have not overwhelmed the country at large , he appraised the patience of the south east states for distancing themselves from the protest as they went about their normal business instead of destroying their heritages and business.
On the path of Ndigbo Community in the state the Lagos Art icon harped on unity among Ndigbo in Lagos state , he advise the Ndigbo to be more committed and also shun blackmails of their leaders and people before the government, because it will cause more harm than good in the unity of the group, that will also make the government lack trust on Ndigbos in Lagos .
He called out the Ndigbo to shun any call for movement from the south west as he described the region as a home for Ndigbo too because they have invested a lot in the building of Lagos economy hub and Nigeria at Large , he assured the traders of continuous security in Lagos as promised by the state governor Mr Babajide Sanwo olu during his addresses to the protest.
