Making youth monitoring infrastructure development are one among my ways of empowering youths in my community and council, said a Lagos state local government area council boss .
Hon Moyosore Ogunlewe Executive chairman of Kosofe local government area made these remarks in his council secretariat, ogudu , Lagos on Monday while briefing press on his 3 years commemoration in office .
While rolling out his achievement since assuming office in July 22nd 2021, the council mayor described his achievement as a goal setter that will enhance the well being of the people of Kosofe as his development cut across both human , infrastructures health and security .
Hon Ogunlewe, while recount his contributions toward the people , said ,
“We pledged to focus on key areas that would significantly improve the lives of our people – infrastructure, health, education, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment, which we believe have made substantial progress in each of these areas”.
According to Hon Ogunlewe, the infrastructure development initiatives, which we aptly named “KOSOFE WORKS ” have received a great interest in which critical areas have being mapped out and works are ongoing too . Ogunlewe have constructed a total of 30 roads across all seven wards of our local government,as 11 are expected as the tenure wine down . The roads constructed are ;

On Education, Kosofe chairman have laid so much interest in enhancing the standard of Education by providing conducive learning environment and educational advancement tools to encourage adult literacy. His administration have , provided the programmes and projects through the Educational support Initiative:-Yearly Distribution of 200 GCE Forms since 2021 till date.-Yearly Distribution of 200 JAMB Forms since 2021 since 2021 till date.- 4 Weeks Free Tutorial Classes for GCE Form Beneficiaries -4 Weeks Free Tutorial Classes JAMB Form Beneficiaries -Adult Literacy Advocacy Programme- Annual Spelling Bee Competition -Construction of 1 story Block of Classrooms at Mosafejo Primary School.
Furthermore On Healthcare, Hon Ogunlewe Administration has provided good and accessible healthcare delivery, which residents have attested to getting affordable Services in all the Primary Health Centre including their Ambulance system ,also Quarterly Polio Vaccination are also established to the residents of Kosofe Local Government , which is his commitment in providing free, accessible and affordable Health Services to the great people of Kosofe and its environs.
Due to the economic situation of the country and increase in food prices the council have established food banks that will help in easy distribution of palliative cross the communities .
Hence , the security architecture of the council have strived hard in reducing the cultism drastically in the council.
Meanwhile, the council boss have assured the people of kosofe a better representation and more dividend as his tenure “spinboll” to 2025 , he also boast that is Administration has pursued Infrastructural, Socio-economic and Educational development with legitimate allocation from the Federal Government, Internally Generated Revenue and not by Loans.
