As Muslims celebrate Eld-Kabir, Hon. Damilola Soneye, member, Ogun State House of Assembly, has enjoined Muslims in his constituency and the state to emulate the virtues of righteousness, tolerance, selflessness, brotherliness and perseverance as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim .
Soneye, representing Obafemi Owode constituency, in his Sallah message on Sunday, reiterated that the season was another opportunity for all Muslims and residents of the state to reflect on the act of total submission and unconditional love.
The lawmaker noted that the season was an avenue to share, forgive and also champion the cause of the weak and the oppressed as well as the vulnerable groups which the celebration signified.
He stressed that the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir was total submission to the will of God.
” I want to urge the people to rededicate themselves to the service of the state and the nation.
“it is through the spirit of brotherly love and dedication to national service that the people can build the desired nation,” he said.
Soneye urged the people to continue to support Gov.
Dapo Abiodun led government in the quest to turn around the fortunes of the state.
He said that he would continue the effective representation that he was known for as a lawmaker, saying that he would continue to facilitate more infrastructural projects to his constituency.
