The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Ogun State, Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, has called on Muslim Ummah, to use the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to offer fervent prayers for the Prince Dapo Abiodun led-administration and further deepen their commitment to peace, unity, and community development.
Addressing journalists shortly after observing the Eid prayers at a prayer ground in Akute, Hon. Adeleye described Eid-el-Kabir as a moment of spiritual significance that calls for sober reflection on the values of sacrifice, obedience, and selflessness. She encouraged Muslims to take lessons from the devotion of Prophet Ibrahim and use the festive period to renew their faith in Almighty Allah’s mercy and plan for the State and Nation at large.
Hon. Adeleye urged the people of the State, especially residents of Akute, Ajuwon, Alagbole, and adjoining communities to seize the moment to appreciate and pray for the present administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun, particularly for its ongoing infrastructural interventions in the Area. “The road construction projects in these areas have drastically improved mobility and transformed our daily experience. The narrative has changed, and we must thank Almighty Allah while praying for the successful completion of other laudable projects,” she stated.
She further called on the people to share love and support with the less privileged in the spirit of the season, urging parents and community leaders to continue upholding values that promote unity and development. “Let this celebration reflect not just in merriment, but in acts of kindness and compassion. That is the true essence of Eid,” Hon. Adeleye said. She concluded by praying for peace and prosperity in Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
