The Amir of Lagos State Broadcasting Service – LSBS Muslim community, Mr. Kayode Adumadeyin has extended warm greetings to Muslims in the broadcasting service, NUJ, RATTAWU, Lagos State, Nigeria and the world at large, as he welcomes Ramadan, the ninth and holy month of the Islamic calendar when Muslims observe mandatory fasting; as instructed by Allah SWT.
According to a press release, he issued “The holy month of Ramadan is the chief of all months, as Prophet Mohammed SAW taught us. As a universal truth that the ‘Quran was revealed in Ramadan, as guidance for mankind and clear proofs of the guidance and the criterion’ referenced in Quran 2:185. Ramadan is a sacred time for reflection, renewal, and spiritual growth. It’s a period of increased devotion, compassion, and generosity”.
“As Ramadan begins, I extend warm greetings to the Muslims in Lagos State Broadcasting Service, starting from Mr. Jide Lawal, general manager, Radio Lagos – Eko FM; Muslims in NUJ, RATTAWU and the state civil service. Also, I greet Muslims in Lagos State, Nigeria and all over the world as we all welcome the holy month of Ramadan”, he stated.
He asked Nigerian Muslims to be especially thankful to God, as it is a special blessing that prices of food items and other stuffs are dropping in the market as Ramadan approaches. In the same vein, he commended President Bola Tinubu for his economic reforms which appear to be yielding positive results, while urging the generality of Nigerians to keep faith with the president and support the administration more strongly. He prayed that God shall uphold President Tinubu, grant him long life and good health; and always guide him aright to lead Nigeria successfully.
He urged Muslims to be closer to God, with a prayer that “May this holy month bring you closer to your faith, your family, and your community. May you find peace, joy, and blessings in your fasting, prayers, and acts of charity” as he wished all Muslims a blessed and peaceful Ramadan, filled with love, light, and the guidance of Allah.
