The Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Adijat Adeleye has given succour to a 24-year-old woman, Mrs. Aminat Oladehinde, co-habiting with beggars after giving birth to a premature baby.
Speaking when she visited Mrs. Oladehinde, Hon. Adeleye said necessary interventions would be made to rehabilitate the woman by ensuring that a means of livelihood was provided for her to support her husband and children.
Hon. Adeleye stated that the present administration prioritizes the welfare of women and children in the State, assuring that necessary steps would be taken to make life comfortable for the women while more will be done to create a safer and more supportive environment for those in need.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner also rescued a nine-month-old baby from his mother, who begs for money around the Abeokuta metropolis saying the lady had been rehabilitated severally by the Ministry but kept returning to the streets.
