English Premiership side Manchester United has confirmed the appointment of Ruben Amorim as the new head coach for the top football team, replacing Erik Ten Hag who was sacked last month.
He is expected to resume by November 11, once he completes all pre-resumption obligations. That means he will be in charge of his first match United in the encounter with Ipswich scheduled for November 24.
Amorim’s contract will see me throughout 2027 witham option of extension by one year, at the expiration of the terms.
Ruud van Nistelrooy will continue to take charge of the first team until Amorim takes over mid-November.
It is not likely however if Nistelrooy will be part of Amorim’s coaching staff but he may be asked to lead Man-Utd against Chelsea in an EPL fixture this Sunday.
