As discussions intensify over who will succeed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the 2027 gubernatorial election, Prophet Godwin Ikuru of Jehovah Salvation Ministry has expressed his interest in contesting for the position in Lagos State.
A philanthropist, former member of the Presidential Campaign Council in Lagos, and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prophet Ikuru described his bid as a continuation of his efforts to serve both his party and the people.
Having lived in Lagos for over 27 years and contributed to the city’s growth, the prophet emphasized that it is now time for him to manage the affairs of the state he holds dear. “I love Lagos State, and I have worked closely with the state’s leaders, who have shown me great support. In return, I have reciprocated their love. It would be an honor to manage the affairs of the state,” he said.
Prophet Ikuru has initiated several charitable projects, including feeding the less privileged, providing cash to support the downtrodden, paying school fees, distributing free fuel, and sheltering the homeless. He is a strong believer in the growth and sustainability of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies, which he feels offer hope in these challenging times.
