The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye is dead. According to the state’s Judiciary Chief Registrar, Olanike Adegoke, who confirmed the death on Tuesday, the Chief Judge died after a brief but undisclosed illness.
Speaking via a statement released by the Public Relations Officer, of the Ekiti State Judiciary, Michael Oba, Adegoke said the deceased was “a respected jurist who dedicated his life to upholding the principles of fairness, equity, and justice.”
He added: “The contributions of the late CJ to the judiciary and Ekiti State as a whole are immeasurable. His legacy will be deeply missed,”
The late Chief Judge was born in 1960 in Araromi Ugbesi, Ekiti East Local Government Area.
The late judge was appointed Chief Judge of Ekiti State in October 2021, 35 years after he was called to the Nigerian Bar.
