The Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD) , South-West zone , Abeokuta Branch has elected Chief Bode Mustapha , the Osi of Egbaland as its new Chairman for a period of two years.
The chairman and the new executives were announced at the Annual General Meeting of the Institute, held in Abeokuta on Wednesday.
Speaking with newsmen, Mustapha disclosed that he would run an all-inclusive administration , noting that he was ready to build a synergy with all tiers of government in order to create a better opportunity for directors.
The new CIoD chairman posited that he would use his position to ensure expansion of the shore of the Institute of Directors in Southwest.
” We will bring many people on board who do not even know that the branch exist.
” What we know certain is that we want to build a synergy of working with the government to expand the shore of the Charter Institute of Directors Nigeria in Ogun state and southwest zone.
“First, it is all about team playing, we all want to work together, whatever we achieve in this zone is not about me as the chairman, but about us as a team, we also want to enlarge the coast in terms of members.
” Many people do not know that this branch exists, we are going to get the list and bring them on board,” he said.
In his remarks, the President and Chairman Governing Council of CIoD, Alhaji Tijani Borodo, admonished the executives to ensure remarkable progress in the institute.
Borodo represented by Mr. Bamidele Alimi , noted that the new executives’ willingness to serve was a testimony of their commitment to the institute.
Other executives members included, Mr Aikulola Olubola (Vice Chairman), Omoshalewa Aboderin (Secretary), Walter Emiedafe (Assistant Secretary), Oluwaseyi Ogunseye (Treasurer) and Rotimi Olasore (Spokesperson).
