The Fusengbuwa Ruling House has formally rejected the claim of Fuji music icon, Otunba Wasiu Ayinde (KWAM 1), to its royal lineage, dealing a major blow to his aspiration for the vacant stool of the Awujale of Ijebuland.
In a letter dated December 11, 2025, and addressed to the musician, the leadership of the ruling house declared his submitted lineage form “null, void and of no consequence.”
The letter states that the house received a completed “Fusengbuwa Ruling House Members Particulars and Linkage Form” dated December 10, 2025, and signed by KWAM 1. However, it noted that the form had been curiously certified two days earlier, on December 8, by an individual named Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Odumeye Emobodo.
The ruling house leadership listed three key reasons for the rejection:
- The form was not signed by the authorised Family Head of the purported family unit.
- The certifier, Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Odumeye Emobodo, is not a registered member of the Jadian Royal House and therefore lacks the legal standing (locus standi) to validate such a document.
- Extensive investigations by the house revealed no proof of KWAM 1’s membership in either the Jadian Royal House or the broader Fusengbuwa Ruling House.
“Consequently, the completed linkage lineage form is hereby declared null, void and of no consequence. For the avoidance of doubt, your claim to the membership of Fusengbuwa Ruling House is rejected,” the letter, signed by Chairman Otunba Abdul Lateef Owoyemi and other executives, stated.

This official rejection confirms the earlier objections raised by a prince of the house and severely diminishes any pathway for the popular musician to be considered as a candidate for the Awujale throne during the current rotation allotted to the Fusengbuwa Ruling House.
