Renowned cleric, Prophet Sam Olu Alo, has called on Nigerians to make the necessary sacrifices for the nation’s development, in a goodwill message to mark the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
The founder of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, also congratulated President Bola Tinubu and all Nigerians on the milestone.
In the statement signed by his Personal Assistant, Deji Ogunbusuyi, and made available to newsmen, Prophet Olu Alo described Nigeria as a resilient and indivisible entity. He urged citizens to eschew divisive tendencies and work collectively towards building a peaceful and prosperous nation.
“I congratulate President Tinubu and Nigerians on the 65th independence of our dear country. Though we have different ethnic groups, we have lived together as brothers and must always demonstrate our commitment to a peaceful, united, and indivisible Nigeria,” the cleric said.
He charged all Nigerians to “participate actively and constructively in the process of nation-building” to help the country overcome its challenges.
Ekiti at 29 and Call for Peace
Prophet Olu Alo also extended his congratulations to Ekiti State citizens and Governor Biodun Oyebanji on the 29th anniversary of the state’s creation.
He called on Ekiti indigenes at home and abroad to support the government in ensuring the state’s all-round development.
“The task of rebuilding and repositioning the state is a collective effort. Through our cooperation, a truly prosperous state would be built,” he stated.
Ahead of the forthcoming governorship primary elections in the state, the prophet appealed to all political parties and residents to conduct themselves peacefully.
Felicitations with the New Olubadan
In a separate statement, Prophet Olu Alo congratulated His Royal Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
He described the occasion as a significant milestone in the history of Ibadan’s traditional institution and praised the monarch’s prior demonstrated leadership as a former governor of Oyo State.
“I pray God will grant you wisdom and knowledge to lead and guide the people, as well as sound health as you embark on this new chapter. May your reign be marked by peace, prosperity, and the continued growth of Ibadanland,” the cleric said.
Prophet Olu Alo is also the founder of Adamimogo FM, with stations in Ibadan and other parts of South-west Nigeria.
