Yoruba activist and a leading agitator for the actualisation of an independent Yoruba nation, Chief Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a Sunday Igboho has returned to Nigeria, after several months in exile.
Igboho left the country in 2021 after he was declared wanted by the Department of State Security (DSS) for his involvement in the protests in support of Yoruba nation. Recall that his Ibadan residence was invaded by DSS and officers, who killed some of his followers.
Adeyemo’s spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki announced on Thursday through his X handle, @yomez06 that the activist retuned to Nigeria in preparation for his mother’s burial
Koiki said: “I can confirm that Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho is currently on his way to Igboho Town for the final burial of his mother MRS S.A.ADEYEMO.
