The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwoolu will address resident of the state on Thursday morning, highlighting the plans of his government on food security, the environment, health, physical planning, infrastructure and others.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso made the disclosure on Wednesday morning in a press statement issued, a copy of which was obtained by TheWest Newspaper.
Sanwoolu’s decision may have been in response to a call on tuesday by the state house of assembly on the governor to immediately summon a stakeholders meeting over the prevailing hardship in the nation. Mudashiru Obasa, said the situation called for a stakeholders’ meeting for the inputs of everyone including members of the National and state Assembly as well as local government chairmen. READ MORE
In his statement, Omotoso said the Governor will answer pertinent questions on Thursday in a media chat, starting at 11:15am. “He will be answering questions from frontline journalists drawn from Channels TV, Arise, TVC and LTV.
“The interaction will also be aired live by some radio stations, including Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1 FM and Eko FM 89.7.Mr. Sanwo-Olu will announce some key policies on the welfare of all Lagosians.
“We will let our people know what we have done and what we will be doing about their welfare, their lives and livelihoods. We will not leave them to their own devices”, the governor said, ahead of the chat, which is part of his plan for regular engagements with Lagosians.
Recall that Sanwoolu held a Lagos West Town Hall Meeting on January 25 where he discussed some of the issues plaguing the state and plans of his government.
