TV-WEST, the bilingual English-Yoruba, solution-focused regional television network serving the Southwest and beyond, will commence full 24-hour broadcasting from October 1, 2026.
The announcement follows a successful period of test transmission as the channel prepares to begin round-the-clock programming across its growing broadcast and digital distribution network.
From October 1, viewers will be able to enjoy TV-WEST 24/7 across its major platforms, with programming delivered in both English and Yoruba. The channel will offer a broad mix of news, current affairs, business, entertainment, culture, lifestyle, sports and development-focused content.
Head of Operations, Omolola Dorcas Adeoye, described the development as a significant milestone for the channel.
“This is an important moment for TV-WEST. Following our successful test transmission, we are excited to officially commence 24-hour broadcasting and bring our distinctive bilingual English-Yoruba programming to viewers throughout the day and night,” she said.
According to Adeoye, the channel’s bilingual approach is central to its mission of connecting with audiences across the Southwest.
“Language is an important part of how people understand their world and connect with their communities. By broadcasting in both English and Yoruba, TV-WEST is able to serve a wider audience while giving our indigenous language and culture the visibility they deserve,” she said.

She added that TV-WEST is designed to go beyond conventional broadcasting by providing content that informs, engages and creates practical value for its audience.
“TV-WEST is more than a television channel. We are building a platform that tells our stories, gives people a voice, highlights opportunities and provides information that can make a practical difference in people’s lives,” Adeoye said.
TV-WEST is currently available across major platforms including NIGCOMSAT, FreeTV Studio, Naija TV, YouTube, Twitch and other digital platforms, giving viewers multiple ways to stay connected to the channel.
“We want people to be able to watch TV-WEST wherever they are and whenever they choose. Whether through satellite, digital television, mobile devices or online platforms, we are committed to making the channel accessible to our audience,” Adeoye said.
The commencement of 24/7 broadcasting marks a major milestone in the development of TV-WEST and reinforces its commitment to providing credible journalism, meaningful conversations and practical solutions for audiences across the Southwest and beyond.
Adeoye said October 1 marks the beginning of a new chapter for the channel.
“We are starting this journey with a clear commitment to our viewers. We want TV-WEST to be a channel people can trust, a channel that understands its audience and a channel that consistently delivers content that is relevant, useful and engaging, in the languages our people understand and connect with,” she said.

Viewers are invited to join TV-WEST from October 1 and experience a new generation of regional television built around trusted journalism, meaningful conversations and practical solutions.
