Thailand e-Visa Now Online: Skip the Hassle, Start Your Journey

As of January, 2025, Nigerian travelers can apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa) to Thailand entirely online, eliminating the need to visit a physical office or embassy. This streamlined process allows applicants to receive visa approval via email.

E-VISA Information

– Royal Thai Embassy, Abuja do not accept physical application. All applications must be completed online via www.thaievisa.go.th 

– Passport holders of all nationals with residence permits in the following countries can apply for the e-visa through Royal Thai Embassy, Abuja. (Please select Royal Thai Embassy, Abuja during your visa submission procedure).

Here’s a step-by-step guide to applying for a Thailand e-Visa:

1. Access the Official e-Visa Portal

2. Create an Account

Click on “Apply for a New Visa.”

Register with a valid email address and create a password.

Verify your email to activate the account.

3. Complete the Online Application

Log in to your account.

Fill out the application form with accurate personal and travel information.

Upload the required documents, which may include:

A scanned copy of your passport (valid for at least six months with at least two blank pages).

A recent passport-sized photograph.

Proof of accommodation in Thailand.

Confirmed return flight tickets.

Additional documents as specified during the application process.

4. Pay the Visa Fee

Use the secure online payment system to pay the visa processing fee.

Fees vary depending on the type of visa and nationality; ensure you have a valid payment method.

5. Submit the Application

Review all information and documents for accuracy.

Submit the application online.

6. Await Processing

Processing typically takes between 3 to 10 working days.

You can check the status of your application through your account on the e-Visa portal.

7. Receive e-Visa Approval

Once approved, you will receive the e-Visa approval letter via email.

Print a copy of the approval letter to present upon arrival in Thailand.
