Lagos ASSEMBLY COMMENDS SANWO-OLU, OTHERS FOR RED RAIL LINE PROJECT
Lagos State House of Assembly during the plenary session on Tuesday commended the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for the successful completion of the Red Line Rail project.
The Red line project was commissioned last Thursday by the President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, at an event that was attended by dignitaries within and outside the State.
According to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, “it is a project that will impact the lives of Lagosians.
“It is a plus for the people of Lagos and it is about the importance of the economy of the State.
“We should also commend Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for laying the foundation since the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA, was introduced by him.”
In his contribution, Hon. Temitope Adewale, the House Committee Chairman on transportation, noted that the project is an amazing one, and would not have been realistic if the House did not pass the budget.
“Mr. Speaker should be commended. The entire members of the 9th and 10th Assembly should also be commended,” he said.
Mr. Babatunde Fashola and Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode were praised for keying into the vision of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu since he left Office.
The Clerk was directed to write a Commendation letter to them.
