Sequel to the declaration of Tuesday’s “work free day” ,by Lagos state government on the celebration of “Isese Day”rites , Yoruba traditional rulers have applauded the decision of the state government toward the days as events lined up .
Hence , the Baale of Iyana Odo Community in Isheri Olofin have echoed his voice as he commend Mr Babajide Sanwo olu on his deep recognition of our Socio Cultural heritage.
Prince Nurudeen Balogun, Baale Iyana Odo of Isheri Olofin kingdom in a telephone conversation with thewest.ng ,urged the community in Isheri Olofin to celebrate the rites with peace and unity which depicts the symbol of Awori land slogan , Prince Balogun describe the festival as
“Odun Isese”, which is a festival celebrated by the Yoruba people of Nigeria ,It’s also a day to honor and worship Orisha , Ifa (deities) and the ancestors, as they translate wisdom of our fore father’s into the present and future generations”.
He Congratulates the Lagos state governor Mr Babajide Sanwo olu for joining other south west states to celebrate the heritage and believe of Yorubaland . also for declaring a “work free day” for our brothers and sisters in civil service sectors , as he assured Iyana Odo Community of a peaceful celebration in all Isheri Olofin Communities during the rites .
