The Nigeria Institution of Environmental Engineer NIEE, Lagos on Thursday conferred an award of Recognition to the executive Chairman of Orile Agege , Hon Babajide Johnson at Lagos Chambers of Commerce hall in Ikeja lagos .
Hon Babatunde Johnson, award winner Chairman in Lagos, who is popularly known as mister Project have committed his tenure to making the community in his council gets dividend of democracy at all cost .
Speaking to journalists, at the award ceremony Hon Johnson describes his drive for humanity as a mindset set in giving back to the society when he assumed office , “Our mindset was to reset the mind of the people, that will not see public office as a place of comfort but as a place of work which is the force behind our vision that highlight the mission of remolding, rebuilding and restoring our mission statement which is to move orile Agege better than we meet it , these had being our strive .”
The Chairman further states that his objectives is to take the local government to greater height in his time ” , he commended the organizer of the award as he said the reason behind the awards was due to the impact created to the environment not necessarily the local government, with a lot of questions: if the people are duly receiving the impact , is it acceptable, are the values reaching the grassroots which the local government is the closest to .
Meanwhile, Hon Johnson empowers the council with a Sum of 100 Million Naira Empowerment Program , a continuation of the previous mega giveaway in the year by the Chairman also 5 utility vehicles and 10 bikes were handover to local security in Orile-Agege Crime Fighters (Paramole) receives 6 bikes, while the Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps (LNSC) also receive 4 bikes respectively.
The chairman gave out public school bus for a public school in Orile-Agege, a bus for the Environmental Services Department, another for the National Youth Council of Nigeria (Orile-Agege Chapter), a bus for the Orile-Agege Crime Fighters (a.k.a Paramole), and a van for the Vigilante Group of Nigeria Special Squad (Orile-Agege Command).
