The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says it has restored power on the Benin-Omotosho 330kV transmission line.
TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mbah, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday.
Mbah said the line was restored at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, following an outage caused by detached conductors on June 25.
She said TCN engineers restrung the conductors and completed maintenance work on the affected sections before restoring supply.
According to her, the restoration will enable Benin Electricity Distribution Company, Eko Electricity Distribution Plc and Ikeja Electric to receive more power.
She said the additional supply would improve electricity distribution to customers within the franchise areas of the three distribution companies.
Mbah apologised for the inconvenience caused by the outage and appreciated consumers for their understanding and cooperation during the period.
