In same vein , the student of Maranthan Schools in Kosofe local government area stage a courtesy call to the order to get acquainted with the Executive Chairman,Kosofe Local Government,Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe at the local government secretariat in ogudu road , Kosofe , Lagos on Tuesday.
To enhance the students’ understanding of the functions and operations of the Local Government, the student to time to undergo some tutorial on basic functions of the council in a community.
Mr Nosiru Samsudeen ,Head Education and Library service in commencement of the tour exposed some guidelines of different functions of offices that constitute a local council , also the students had the opportunity to meet Local Government officials and learn about the various Departments, Units and their roles.
The tour also avails the Students the opportunity to learn the Administrative functions of these Departments and Units that makes up the Local Government Structure.
Hence after the tour , the students were avail in an interactive session with the Chairman, which culminates in a Question and Answer segment , as they ask questions about government activities at the Federal, State, and Local Levels, with particular focus on Local Government operations.
The students were enthusiastic about the study tour as a good feedback form the classroom theory experience, though many develope interest in civic activities and Local Government processes but Council chairman emphasized the importance of understanding these functions in details which is integrated in classroom education.
Meanwhile, the students were also received by the Secretary to the Local Government,Hon.Gbadebo Fatai, the Supervisor for Education amongst others .
