As ballot counting ends in several polling units across Ondo State in the ongoing Governorship election, preliminary results have started coming in. One of such is the result from Unit 16, Igboroko 2, Ward 03, Ahmadiya Grammar School, Isley, Owo, where the Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Olayide Adelami voted earlier in the day.
The deputy governor won his for the APC, garnering a total of 209 votes, significantly surpassing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which managed only 11 votes.
The polling unit has a total of 850 registered voters.
Adelami commended the smooth conduct of the election in his polling unit and expressed optimism about his party’s chances statewide. He credited the APC’s campaign efforts across all 18 local government areas as a major factor in their anticipated success.
