Over 500 widows and Less privilege were empowered at the orile Agege Constituency office of hon Jubreel Ayodeji Abdulkareem , member representing Agege Constituency 02 at the Lagos state house of Assembly.
The widows which cut across the two constituencies compresses of different ethnic groups that troops in large number to Orile Agege road for their food items and Cash respectively .
In his open remark the Lawmaker describes the exercise as an avenue of giving back to the people who have always come out to vote for the party during elections, both in the national, state and local government with their PVC , he said ;
” Your PVC is very vital during the election that is why we are emphasizing that those people that will benefits from such gestures must have their PVC with them and should also come out to vote in subsequent elections , so I advise you people to go get your PVC when the commission begin soon , so you can benefit from all the good gesture our party representative is doing ” .
Hon Jubi as popularly called , explained that the gesture was also to give his little mints due to the economy melt down in the country which people have always cried for hunger and other things , also it is an all inclusive gesture that carried both the Constituency 01 and 02 constituents together as our Leader have instructed us since I resume office as a Lawmaker at the Assembly, Hon Abdulkareem said .
Hence , Orile Agege local government area party Chairman Hon Salaudeen Olaniyi describes the all inclusive gesture as an instruction that have being in existence, according to him
” Our leaders called us together and ask us to unite as one Agege , instructing all representative to always carrying all the constituents along when they are doing any empowerment,that is why you see Constituency 01 and 02 , wards chairmen and Leaders are all here to witness the kind gesture ” .
Meanwhile , Hon Jubreel urged the beneficiaries to spend the token wisely by investing in minor business that will earn them profits in the coming days , he also promised another set of empowerment to the people in due time .
Beneficiaries expresses joy over the token as some said ” this is my first time of benefitting from the party since I joined .
Arewa communities , Ndigbo and other ethnic groups also benefitted from the food items and twenty thousand Naira token giving by the Lagos state Lawmaker.
