The Christian wake-keep service in honour of late governor of Ondo state Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu is underway in his hometown of Owo. It is part of the obsequies announced for the late governor.
The service which is taking place at the Church of Nigeria – Anglican Communion, The Cathedral Church of St. Andrews, Imola, started at exactly 4pm with members of Akeredolu’s Immediate and extended family members, political associates, professional colleagues and other Owo residents among others in attendance.
The late governor died on December 27th 2023 after a battle with leukemia while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Germany.
His remains will be buried on Friday in Owo, after the completion of al funeral rites.
