Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, the Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)in the 2019 general elections in Ogun has described as shameful and reckless the statements made by Gov. Dapo Abiodun on Sunday in response to a charge on the need for his All Progressives Congress, APC government to be humane and to focus on providing people-oriented projects.
Adebutu stated this in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Monday by his Director of Media , Afolabi Orekoya.
He noted that It was pathetic that rather for Abiodun to learn and be guided by sincere comments made , he lost control, went personal, and talked gibberish which simply confirmed he had diminished acumen to continue to manage the affairs of Ogun State.
“It is very sad that the real issue raised on the basis of comparison between the road commissioned by the PDP Governor in Oyo State and any of the 600km acclaimed roads commissioned in Ogun State. The main issue is why should a governor be celebrating resurfacing and little expansion of existing roads with so much glamour when a counterpart initiated a 77Km road on virgin land to meet the actual needs of his people.
“One simple question this government should answer is that how many of the celebrated projects in five years were initiated by it, in as much as we appreciate continuity in governance, credit should be given to the government that conceived the idea of these projects not you ascribing undue glory to yourself.
” In the statement, Mr. Dapo Abiodun described Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu as an “overfed brat” because of his family’s wealth, while we thank God for His grace and blessings upon the Adebutu family we need to also remind Mr Abiodun that he has also at different times been a beneficiary of the Adebutu family’s wealth he is now mocking.
” In conclusion, the bragged vote buying case sponsored by the emperor and dictator against Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu will come to naught just like his several other failed attempts of using all government machineries to convict him. He can not succeed.
