The media office of former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has dismissed reports linking him to a planned governorship run under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the claims as fake and politically motivated.
In a statement on Saturday, the office said the online publication was “baseless and mischievous,” alleging it was the handiwork of “rumor mongers and political jobbers” bent on causing unnecessary tension.

It stressed that Ambode’s loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) remained “staunch, unshakable, and beyond compromise,” adding that he had not engaged in any discussions with the ADC or any political party outside the APC regarding political ambitions.
The statement urged Lagos residents and Nigerians at large to ignore the report, warning against falling for “politically motivated propaganda” and calling for focus on issues that would advance the state and the country.
